The College of Communication and Information User eXperience Lab (UXL) is the brainchild of a collaboration between the College and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). The User eXperience Lab provides an environment conducive to studying how users interact with a system and conducive to gaining insight into the system’s usability. For example, the lab can be used to conduct behavioral science-related studies measuring task performance and emotional reactions. The lab supports interdisciplinary research by UTK faculty members, graduate students, and ORNL researchers. Several Ph.D. students staff the user-experience lab while using the lab to support their own research agendas.
The User eXperience Lab is located in room 230 on the second floor of the Communications Building (1345 Circle Park Drive; Knoxville, TN 39776). MAP
